CILICIA, Seleucia ad Calycadnum. Gordian III. AD 238-244. Æ (33mm, 13.77 g, 6h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right; c/m: annulet within Δ / Aphrodite standing right, looking into mirror held in left hand; to left, Eros standing right, holding torch in both hands; to right, two birds drinking from basin. SNG Levante -; SNG France -; Lindgren & Kovacs 1589 corr. (Aphrodite described as emperor holding globus; same dies with c/m); for c/m: Howgego 670. Near VF, earthen brown and green patina. Rare with basin in place of a second Eros.
